The Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) at Universitas Pancasakti (UPS) has been awarded the prestigious Excellence in Teacher Education award, recognizing its unwavering commitment to cultivating highly skilled educators. This accolade reflects FKIP’s outstanding contributions to the field of teacher education, marked by a blend of academic excellence, global outreach, and innovative leadership.
Dr. Yoga Prihatin, M.Pd, the esteemed Dean of FKIP, was also honored with the Woman Leadership Award for her exceptional leadership and significant contributions to advancing teacher education. Under her guidance, FKIP has reached new heights, transforming one of its study programs in Natural Sciences (IPA) from ‘Good’ to ‘Excellent’ and elevating five other programs from ‘B’ to ‘Baik Sekali’ (Very Good) since she assumed the deanship on January 23, 2024.
Global Recognition and Impact
Dr. Jayanta Saha, Director of Global Outreach at EIILM, Kolkata, India, elaborated on why FKIP at UPS is deserving of this recognition: “FKIP has demonstrated leadership qualities that have created a global presence for your esteemed university and provided your students with much-needed global exposure. FKIP’s communication with different stakeholders has fostered a symbiotic relationship between your university and universities across the world.”
This global impact is further evidenced by FKIP’s successful collaboration with international institutions. Each year, approximately 200 foreign students participate in FKIP’s summer course programs in July and August, representing partner universities such as Moscow City University Samara in Russia, High Obour Institute in Egypt, and four state universities from Uzbekistan. Additionally, FKIP recently hosted a joint conference featuring speakers from seven countries, culminating in an international proceeding, further solidifying its global academic reputation.
