Jabartoday.com – Jakarta, May 22, 2024 – The Halal Certification Agency of KAHMI (BPSH KAHMI) conducted a courtesy visit to the Head of the Center for Halal Product Development and Supervision at the Halal Product Assurance Organizing Agency (BPJPH) under the Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, Zikro, at the BPJPH Office, East Jakarta.
The BPSH KAHMI delegation was led by Rudi Sahabuddin, accompanied by Secretary Burhanuddin Zein and Treasurer Elisa Sugito.
During the visit, both parties discussed various topics related to the development of the halal ecosystem in Indonesia, particularly efforts to increase public awareness and compliance in consuming halal products.
Rudi Sahabuddin, Chairman of BPSH KAHMI, emphasized that KAHMI, as an alumni organization of HMI in Indonesia, plays a crucial role in educating Muslims about the importance of consuming halal products. “We believe that halal products not only fulfill religious requirements but also ensure the health and welfare of the community,” stated Rudi Sahabuddin.
Meanwhile, Zikro, Head of the Center for Halal Product Development and Supervision at BPJPH, appreciated BPSH KAHMI’s support in promoting halal products. He explained that BPJPH is currently focused on strengthening halal product supervision through digitalization and innovation.
“We are collaborating with various partners, including BPSH KAHMI, to raise public awareness about the importance of halal products. Through this collaboration, we can build a strong and credible halal ecosystem,” said Zikro.
During the meeting, both parties agreed to strengthen cooperation in various programs, such as halal training, public education, and policy advocacy.
“BPSH KAHMI is ready to become a strategic partner of BPJPH in supporting the creation of an Indonesian society that is aware and mindful of halal products,” affirmed Rudi Sahabuddin.
Also present at the meeting were other board members, including Director of LP3h KAHMI Al Mini, Director of JPH Training Elva Septinawati, and Director of LPH Bpsh KAHMI Akmal Yulianto. (ruz)
