Jabartoday.com – Ho Chi Minh City– In a significant move to strengthen academic ties in Asia, EIILM Kolkata, India, and UPS Tegal, Indonesia, held an informal yet impactful meeting at the Apricot Room, Park Royal Hotel, Saigon, Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam, on August 29, 2024. The meeting was attended by Prof. Banerjee, the President of EIILM Kolkata and Dr. Taufiqulloh, M.Hum, the Rector of UPS Tegal, who engaged in discussions on potential collaborations across various academic fields.
During the meeting, Prof. Banerjee addressed the existing disparities across sectors in Asian countries, particularly in education, healthcare, and technology. He emphasized the critical role that academic institutions must play in mitigating these challenges. “There are significant disparities in education, healthcare, and technology across Asia. It’s imperative that we, as academic institutions, take a proactive role in addressing these issues. I fully support UPS Tegal’s initiative to establish a Faculty of Medicine, as it is a crucial step toward improving healthcare education and services in the region,” remarked Prof. Banerjee.
Dr. Taufiqulloh, M.Hum expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership, highlighting the mutual benefits that both institutions would gain. “Our collaboration with EIILM Kolkata is a significant milestone for UPS Tegal. By working together, we can enhance our academic programs and research capabilities. The establishment of our Faculty of Medicine will benefit greatly from the expertise and experience that EIILM brings to the table.
