Jabartoday.com – Istambul. The Chairman of the Central Executive Board of the Indonesian Youth National Committee (DPP KNPI), Tantan Taufiq Lubis, attended the World Halal Summit 2025 held on 25–29 November 2025 at the Istanbul Fuar Merkezi in Istanbul, Türkiye. He was accompanied by regional and national business leaders, as well as representatives from the Indonesian Exporters Association. The delegation’s participation reflects KNPI’s commitment to strengthening international cooperation and promoting Indonesia’s growing halal ecosystem, currently being developed by several KNPI board members and advisors from the business community.

The World Halal Summit 2025 serves as a major platform for global halal industry stakeholders to exchange insights, innovations, and business opportunities. “We will maximize this opportunity to build strategic partnerships with other countries and international organizations in advancing the halal industry,” Tantan stated.

“As Chairman of DPP KNPI, I believe that participating in the World Halal Summit 2025 is a strategic step toward enhancing Indonesia’s sharia economic potential and solidifying our position as a key player in the global halal industry,” added Tantan, who also serves as Chairman of the Indonesian Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

For this year’s summit, KNPI brought several companies representing Indonesia’s agricultural, plantation, and culinary sectors with global market appeal. These included PT Tani Agro Niaga Indonesia, led by former ID Food Director Frans Tambunan; PT Nusantara Samudera Mandiri, represented by businesswoman Iin Inawati; and entrepreneurs Yaya Jaya, Nikke, and Andrianto, a former Pelindo commissioner. All delegates had the opportunity to conduct business-to-business (B2B) meetings with international buyers from various countries, generating potential deals worth hundreds of billions of rupiah.

Participation in the World Halal Summit and Expo offers significant benefits for Indonesian entrepreneurs and the wider Muslim community. By joining such international events, Indonesian halal businesses can boost the global visibility of their products. The summit also opens avenues for expanding global business networks, learning from global halal trends, and improving competitiveness in international markets. Entrepreneurs additionally gain insights into halal standards and regulations applied in different countries, helping them meet global compliance requirements.

In essence, participating in the World Halal Summit and Expo provides an invaluable opportunity for Indonesian entrepreneurs and Muslims to strengthen competitiveness, expand business networks, and raise global awareness of halal products,” Tantan concluded in his press statement.
