The decision of the Supreme Court (MA) to reject the Request for Judicial Review (PK) submitted by Retired General Moeldoko regarding the leadership of the Central Executive Board (DPP) of the Democratic Party has been warmly received by ANIES volunteers in Kuningan Regency. Ayip Syarif Ahmad, the Chairman of the Formatur of the Regional Representative Council (DPD) of ANIES Kuningan, expressed his happiness and excitement about the MA’s decision. According to Ayip, this MA ruling will strengthen unity within the Coalition for Change and provide greater support for their presidential candidate, Mas Anies Baswedan, in the 2024 Presidential Election.
“We, as volunteers fully supporting Mas Anies Baswedan, view MA’s rejection of Moeldoko’s PK as a positive step that will solidify the solidarity of the Coalition for Change in uniting our vision and mission. Undoubtedly, this also paves a clearer path for Mas Anies Baswedan in the presidential contest,” Ayip stated to the media on Friday, August 11, 2023.
Ayip also explained that Kuningan, as the birthplace of Anies Baswedan, will extend full support in their efforts to elect him as the leader of Indonesia in 2024. Ayip firmly believes that no other candidate possesses the capacity and qualifications of Mas Anies Baswedan.
“Mas Anies Baswedan is a leader who inherits the attributes of leadership from Prophet Muhammad, such as trustworthiness, truthfulness, conveying the message, and wisdom. In addition to his international capabilities and network, Mas Anies Baswedan also plays a crucial role in global politics,” Ayip elucidated.
Fauzi Awod Zou, the senior figure and mentor of ANIES Kuningan, also expressed his delight over the news of MA’s rejection of Moeldoko’s PK. Fauzi stated that the repeated efforts to hinder Anies Baswedan have convinced them that he is the best figure to lead Indonesia during the 2024-2029 period. He also conveyed his appreciation and respect for the decision made by the Supreme Court.
“We feel that MA’s rejection will strengthen the legitimacy of the leadership of the Democratic Party, currently led by AHY (Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono). We, the ANIES Kuningan volunteers, congratulate the Democratic Party on the legal clarity provided by the Supreme Court and continue to urge the Democratic Party to remain steadfast and consistent in supporting Anies Baswedan until achieving victory in the 2024 Presidential Election,” Fauzi, affectionately known as “Abah Oji,” stated.
