Jabartoday.com-Jakarta. The Pro Anies National Secretariat (Seknas Pro Anies) is pushing for structural improvements to the National Campaign Team for Anies Baswedan and Muhaimin Iskandar (Timnas AMIN) in preparation for the 2024 Presidential Election.
Marwan Azis, the Coordinator of Seknas Pro Anies, emphasized the need for a more representative performance from Timnas AMIN, involving various elements, including supporting political parties, supporters, volunteers, entrepreneurs, and millennials. He noted that the challenges faced by Timnas AMIN in winning the 2024 Presidential Election are substantial and complex.
According to Marwan, the current structure of Timnas AMIN only consists of a Captain and Co-Captain, which does not reflect diversity and teamwork effectively.
“When compared to the Campaign Teams of Number 2 and Number 3, which represent various segments more effectively, it is clear that Timnas AMIN needs refinement and strengthening with potential figures from different backgrounds,” said Marwan, a former researcher at LP3ES Jakarta and the founder of Terkini.com, in a press statement in Central Jakarta on November 16, 2023.
Marwan suggested that the improvement of Timnas AMIN should not only resemble a football team but also serve as a platform for all potential figures, unrestricted by the roles of Captain and Co-Captain.
Meanwhile, Emmanuel Tular, the Secretary-General of Pro Anies, expressed hope that the enhancement of the AMIN National Campaign Team would reflect an inclusive structure, accommodating elements from supporting political parties, youth groups, religious figures, volunteer communities, gender diversity, media, entrepreneurs, activists, and professionals.
“We hope that these improvements will enhance the quality and strength of Timnas AMIN to secure Anies Baswedan and Muhaimin Iskandar’s victory in the 2024 Presidential Election,” said Emmanuel, a former Chairman of the Central Board of PMKRI.
Emmanuel added that while waiting for the improvement of Timnas AMIN, Pro Anies remains committed to working towards the victory of Anies Baswedan and Muhaimin Iskandar. “May it be AMIN-ated,” he concluded. (ruz)
