Prominent Entrepreneur H. Tatang Suharta Encourages Collaboration Among Muslim Business Owners for Growth and Impact.

Jabartoday.com-Kuningan. Entrepreneur and Owner of Hisana Group, H. Tatang Suharta, hosted a gathering with small and medium-sized entrepreneurs (SMEs) at his residence in Karangtawang, Kuningan, West Java, on Friday, November 17, 2023. This meeting followed a prior Entrepreneurship Seminar held at Hotel Cordela AS Putra on Jl. Siliwangi, Kuningan, featuring Dr. dr. Asep Hermana, SpB., FINAcs., MM (Founder of Klinik Metro & Optik Zolaris) and Toriq Saiful Rahman (Operational Director of Hisana) on Friday, November 10, 2023.

What made this subsequent meeting special was the presence of Hisana Group’s Chairman of the Board of Commissioners, Agus Sujanto, Founder of Permata Hospitals in Cirebon and Kuningan, Dr. Asad, THT-KL, and Toha, a successful kebab entrepreneur with over 550 branches. The gathering provided young Muslim entrepreneurs in Kuningan with valuable insights into entrepreneurship and expanded their business networks.

During the occasion, H. Tatang Suharta shared the history of Hisana’s business journey, which now boasts more than 1,260 branches across Indonesia. He attributed Hisana’s growth and success to the grace of Allah and his mother’s sincere prayers for him. H. Tatang Suharta humorously mentioned that he didn’t complete his formal education but jokingly referred to himself as an “S.Ag,” which stands for “Sarjana Ayam Goreng” or “Fried Chicken Scholar.” His lighthearted remark drew laughter from the participants. He expressed his hope that sharing his experiences would benefit Muslim entrepreneurs in Kuningan and expressed his commitment to organize similar events in various districts and cities across West Java.

Dr. dr. Asep Hermana, SpB., FINAcs., MM, the Founder of Klinik Metro & Optik Zolaris, emphasized the importance of Muslim entrepreneurs coming together and networking to support the propagation of Islam in Kuningan. He expressed his hope that among them would emerge Muslim entrepreneurs who generously contribute to the cause of propagating the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad.

“We hope to see the emergence of entrepreneurs like the Companions of the Prophet (Sahabat Nabi), such as Abdurrahman bin Auf, Az Zubair bin al ‘Awwam, Utsman bin Affan, Thalhah bin Ubaidillah, and Sa’ad bin Abi Waqqash,” said Dr. Asep Hermana. These Companions played pivotal roles in supporting the Islamic missionary efforts, and the aspiration is to see such figures emerge among today’s Muslim entrepreneurs to advance the cause of Islam.

Toriq Saiful Rahman, the Operational Director of Hisana, highlighted the significance of “brand positioning” in business. He stressed that positioning is crucial to ensure that consumers perceive a unique identity and distinctive features in a product, setting it apart from others.

Notably, the event was attended by Hisana’s Chairman of the Board of Commissioners, Agus Sujanto, who underscored the importance of three fundamental changes in every entrepreneur: a change in mindset, a change in attitude, and a change in knowledge and skills. These changes are essential for entrepreneurs to bring about significant transformations in their endeavors.

Dr. Asad, THT-KL, the founder of Permata Hospitals in Cirebon and Kuningan, stressed the importance of collaboration within the business community, particularly among Muslim entrepreneurs. He emphasized that regular gatherings, knowledge exchange, sharing of experiences, and networking are essential for collective growth and impact. Dr. Asad highlighted that collaboration is the key to overcoming challenges and expanding businesses effectively.

Additionally, Dr. Asad underscored the diverse sectors where Muslim entrepreneurs can make a significant contribution. These include the food, healthcare, education, transportation, and various other industries. He pointed out that the current population of Ciayumajakuning (Cirebon, Indramayu, Majalengka, and Kuningan) stands at around 7 million people, with projections of significant growth in the near future. This presents a substantial market opportunity. Dr. Asad noted that even if just 10 percent of the Ciayumajakuning population opts for Hisana fried chicken, it would be a remarkable achievement.

Kuningan Entrepreneurs Forge Connections, Collaborative Spirit, and Extend Generosity to Support Palestinian Cause

To conclude the entrepreneurship networking event, participants contributed to support the Palestinian people who are living under Israeli occupation. This gesture symbolizes the solidarity of the Muslim community in Kuningan with the Palestinian struggle for freedom from Israeli colonization and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state.
