Jabartoday.com-JAKARTA, The support of former Vice President Jusuf Kalla (JK) for presidential candidate Anies Baswedan and vice-presidential candidate Muhaimin Iskandar (AMIN) has been warmly received by AMIN supporters, including the National Secretariat Pro Anies.
This development is particularly significant given JK’s influential stature, which is seen as a major step in securing the victory of Anies Baswedan and Muhaimin Iskandar in the upcoming 2024 Presidential Election.
“We are, of course, very pleased. Support continues to flow to the AMIN pair, this time from former Vice President Jusuf Kalla, whose influence will significantly contribute to AMIN’s journey to victory,” stated Emmanuel Tular, the Secretary-General of the National Secretariat Pro Anies, in Jakarta (21/12/2023) when asked for his comments regarding JK’s support for Anies-Muhaimin.
The former Chairman of the Central Board of PMKRI mentioned that JK’s support for the AMIN pair is a positive development amid the relentless efforts of volunteers, the Coalition for Change and Unity, and AMIN sympathizers working tirelessly for the victory of the AMIN pair in the 2024 Presidential Election.
JK’s multifaceted personality as a politician, activist, two-term former Vice President of Indonesia, businessman, peace negotiator, Chairman of the Indonesian Mosque Council, and leader of humanitarian organizations both in Indonesia and globally adds significant value.
“JK’s experiences, including his successful election as vice president for two terms with different presidents, will be invaluable to Anies, who is already regarded as JK’s political protégé,” he added.
Furthermore, Emmanuel Tular, a member of the Campaign Material Team of the National Winning Team for Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar (TIMNAS AMIN), stated that JK’s support would likely translate into a significant voter base for AMIN, especially outside Java.
JK’s support could bring substantial political resources and infrastructure to the AMIN campaign, including access to voter bases and financial resources to strengthen AMIN’s logistics for winning the 2024 Presidential Election.
“We know JK has a vast network, not only in politics and activism but also in the business community. Therefore, support from a central figure like JK will positively impact Anies-Muhaimin’s victory in the 2024 Presidential Election.
This politician from the DPP Nasdem Party’s Executive Relations department hopes that following UAS and JK, other influential figures, including from the business community, will also declare their support for the AMIN pair.
